Thank God no water fights on wed!! The building was very quiet. During My office hour we had our game night program and played the game things. It went well pretty funny. My rounds went well. I had a surprise waiting for me in A100 when I did my 11 round. One of the residents drew my picture accented with my name in big block letters on their door. Needless to say I found it histarical. He did a good job drawing it pretty sick! That was the highlight of the night.

Just a Note
Water fights have occurred in A300 last night as well as tonight. Please keep an eye out. Their argument was that no one warned them against these water fights. I've "officially" warned them so keep that in mind~

On Call 4/22 and 4/23
On call during these two days went well. Nothing really happened. It was pretty much a quiet night. Loved the cute cupcakes that my friends gave for my birthday though ^_^.

On Call 4/26
On call went well last night. The night started off with an interesting and fun program with Ryan. A fair amount of residents came and joined the destresser program. Everyone loved the candy and getting rid of their stress through hitting a pinata. It was quite amusing. Nothing much happened during my rounds. Everyone seemed pretty peachy. I did have to close one door and also asked some residents to take out their trash. Oh around 1am there was a lot of noise. It turned out to be boys running down the stairs carrying giant water guns. Well at least they were all outside, so no mess inside. Well other than that, nothing else really happened.

On Call 4/24 & 4/25
So here's a quick blog about this weekend's on call double header. Both nights were really pretty easy, the building was pretty quiet and under control. I didn't have to talk to anybody about anything really, and all the doors were shut the whole time. People are studying a bunch for this last week, so I think that that contributed to the quietness. Came into the office this morning and was quite surprised! Now off into the last week of classes, and then into finals. Heeerrreee we go.

On Call 4/21
Last night was pretty simple. Nothing really went on. Gave out some cleaning equipment during my office hour. The building was under control during all 3 of my rounds. Doors were closed and everything during my 11 round.

On call 4/19
So Cynthia needed to switch on-calls so last night I was on call. During my office hour I gave out some toilet paper and had some residents stop by to say hello and talk for a little bit. It was a generally quiet night. During my first round the building was quiet not much going on. During my second round at 11 I had to ask 2 rooms to close doors. When I got back to my room I had someone come up to request toilet paper, when I went down to get it, I ended up giving some to 3 other residents as well who were passing by and also needed some. I think yesterday I gave out more toilet paper than I have given out all year. Earlier in the day during my office hour I had 4 people come within the hour for some. Anyways during my last round the building was sounding and looking good, when I ended on the first floor of A-tower I had a very funny conversation with the Asian students who live there. They proceeded to quiz me on what specific ethnicity each of them were and were giving me an Asian 101 lecture. haha it was beyond entertaining. On the first floor we have a 2 students who are a combination of Chinese and Cambodian, 1 who is full Cambodian, 1 who is Hmong and Cambodian, a Vietnamese and Chinese student from C tower who hangs out in a- tower. I am schooled now in how to determine what ethnicity's each Asian student is (they told me that their are lots of easy ways to tell). I absolutely enjoy all of the A100 students they are great!

On Call 4/14 &4/15
So I'm a complete loser and forgot to blog again!! Last wed and thursday were my on call nights. It was a pretty low key two nights on Wed I had nothing go on. It was pretty much quiet, had to close some doors but other than that it was all good. Thursday night was a lil bit more busy, I had a lock out at 11:30 and at 12:30 which is always fun. I spent some extra time in the office between 12-1 becuase a dance got let out and the building was getting loud when people were coming in so I figured it would be a better idea if they saw me so they knew I would be around if stuff was going on. I walked the building again at 1 and it was under control.

On Call 4/18
Not much going on last night. Made a couple of phone calls during the office hour and got some summer scheduling stuff done so that was good. Did bathroom checks after the office hour which were fine. Around 9:30 a couple of C tower residents came to my door and said that they lost power in their rooms and needed it to be fixed. I had no idea where the circuit breakers were so I ended up finding Ben and he showed me how to fix it. Rounds were pretty quiet, just had to shut a couple of doors, and A tower was again propped open. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a Sunday night.

On Call 4/17
Hey Guys,
I know its been a while, so may argue that it has been unacceptably wrong. However, if I'm on call and things seem good, I don't see a blog entry to be needed.
Last night was interesting. Two residents came to get TP during the office hour. I felt bad handing out such sand-paper like material. I also talked with a resident about how he had been pulled over for transporting alcohol...interesting
Rounds at 9, 10:30 and 12:30 were quiet. Around 11, Cynthia came to my door to inform me of some loud people in A300. We went down there and Cynthia really took control. I was impressed by her strong tone and level of intensity. It turned out that only 2 of the 6 people in the room went to URI. After the gathering was broken up, I wrote up warning forms to the two residents for their excessive noise past quiet hours.
Hope errbody is good,
Ben

On Call 4/9
So on call on friday was interesting. During my office hour I had one of my friends from another building come visit. We talked and I had a few lockouts that I needed to attend to. After my office hours, I went to my room. It was rather quiet during my rounds. Nothing really happened, except I did have to tell a few residents to quiet down. The interesting part came about when I woke up the next morning, I found shoes (specifically rainboots) all close to the window in A Tower of my floor. One seemed to be halfway pushed out of the window. Well I couldn't figure out whose shoes they were and they disappeared by Saturday afternoon. So other than that, everything was okay.

On Call 4/11
It was a little bit of a weird night, but not all too bad. The office hour was actually pretty busy, there was a lockout, a couple of people came for TP, and somebody came for condoms. After the office hour I went and did my bathroom checks, which were fine. My first round was silent, it was really weird how quiet the building was. During my second round, the hint of a certain plant substance was lingering around an area, so I got Cynthia to investigate. We determined where it was coming from, but didn't really have anything to go on, so we got Molly for a 3rd opinion. After checking it out further, we decided that we couldn't really do much for it, so I kept an eye on it. We chatted for a while, and by the time we were done it was time for round #3. During the last round I had to just tell a room to keep it down and a couple of other rooms to close their doors.

On Call 4/8
It was an OK evening in Aldrich. During the office hour Shelly and Cynthia were in the office and we hung out for a while. After the office hour, Cynthia helped me finish up the rest of my fire inspections then I went to my room. During the first round I had to deal with a bunch of trash, but got it taken care of. Then during my second round there was a lockout and I thought I smelled some illegal plant substances in C tower, so I got Cynthia to check it out, but when we got back the odor was gone... there was a guy standing in the hallway when I first passed through who wasn't there when we got back.. maybe it was him? Who knows, it was weird. Anyway, another lockout to start the 3rd round, and the C tower door was propped. It was quiet for most of the evening though, except for the huge crowds of people outside yelling every now and then. That gets real annoying real fast. Otherwise a good night.

On Call 4/7
Last night went well. Following my office hour I did a round and then began my fire inspections. It took a little long but went well. Once that was finished I went back to my room and then did my last two rounds. The building was pretty quiet I had to talk to a couple rooms to close doors. One of the funniest rooms I came across was two boys whose door is NEVER open. When I was doing my 11 round I went to tell them that the doors had to be closed and when I looked in the two of them were in their beds completely sheltered by blankets. I asked them what was going on and that they had to close the door and the proceeded to tell me that they saw a mosquito in the room. They said they were waiting for it to leave so they were covered for protection from getting bit. One of the boys then admitted to me that they are afraid of bugs. I told them they could keep the door open for a couple more minutes but then they had to close it. Needless to say I laughed hysterically when I walked away it was definitely a funny scenario. It was a good night!

On Call 4/3/10
Saturday Nights on call was eerie how quiet it was. The building probably had only 6 rooms with people in them. I couldn't believe how many people ended up going home. Needless to say nothing happened during my office hour I made a new bulletin board and updated the birthday board for April. Other than that my rounds were a breeze no one was around to have to talk to and nothing came up. Easiest Saturday night to date! Hope everyone had a nice Easter!
On Call 4/2
Sorry about the delay but my on call went pretty well. Nothing really happened during my rounds, but I did find some noisy girls in the stairwell and asked them to be quiet. Prior to that I heard a fire alarm go off in a room and ran over. It turned out they burnt their rug with a hair straightener. Told them to keep fanning and luckily the alarm went off before the building's alarm went on. Other than that, my night went well. ^_^

On Call 4/4
Yet another Sunday evening gone by. To kick things off was a lockout during the office hours, then quiet office hours from then on out. After that I did my bathroom checks, which were all good. Then someone from C tower came to my room and asked to borrow the cleaning supplies, so I got those. I went back to my room and did Spanish hw. Rounds were quiet, C tower was propped during the first one. Also during the first round, the 3rd floor of B tower smelled like something was burning, so I got Molly and we asked the residents in the area if they knew what was up. Nobody knew, and it eventually just went away. That's all the big stuff.
