On Call 12/21
Nothing much happened during the evening, office hour was quiet and rounds were pretty quiet. Around 12:30 the phone rang, and it was a resident saying that the people above him were being loud and he had an exam the next morning, so I went and gave them a written warning. They hadn't been loud when I went around before, but I guess they got excited later on or something. Went to bed around 1:45.

On Call 12/19
So last night was extremely snowy night. Within an hour, the whole ground was covered. But anyways.. so the night began with office hours. I was chilling in the office when Molly came to visit. Soon, we were joined by Ryan, and we all just chilled in the office. Molly eventually left but came rushing back and said that the C tower basement lights and door was opened. So the three of us all went to go check it out. We walked down and took a tour of the basement. It was amusing haha. But there was no one down there and we just turned out all the lights downstairs. So then everyone returned back to their rooms. My rounds went alright. It seemed like most of the residents in the building already moved out and everyone was quiet. I did bump into one resident who asked if I needed to see his room before he left. I told him all he needed to do was make sure he did all the things on his checklist and tape that on his door. Other than that, the rest of the night went pretty well.

On Call 12/14
Everything was really quiet last night. I didn't have to talk to anybody about anything, it seems that everyone is realizing that finals are a day away and really starting to put that as their first priority, which is a good thing. All rounds were quiet, and there were just a few people watching the basketball game in the lounge during the office hour.

Hey,
Last night was quiet for the most part. I think a lot of people went home for the weekend hence the empty parking lot and uneventful resident hall.
However, our Christmas ornaments have been stolen. It must have happened later than 1am. The tree is gone along with the other greenery. Molly has more information as she was the one to discover that some grinchs stole christmas. =(

So On call on Wed was very slow I had one housing cancellation during my rounds, and had to tell 3 rooms to close doors. During my 12 oclock round I had to talk to a room in A tower about noise. They were super nice and didn't realize they were being so noisey. I was a good night.

Wudddddup. J/K
Hey guys, hope everybody is excited that classes are over. Now we can just cram useless information, irrelevant to the workplace, for the next week or so and then go home and live the life...
Anyways, last night was good. Sex in the lounge was a success, even if half the crowd was virgins. I can respect that.
Molly gave me one of her yogurts, so now I'll do anything for her ;)
As for the on-call, things were quiet. Some people were kinda loud in the stairs around 10:30 but things seemed quiet later.
Two residents of mine visited. I'll give you a guess as to who it was...
Go Ahead.
Wrong, it was Amelia :)
Alright, hopefully people are still reading these otherwise I've wasted 5 minutes of my night.
Take it easy everyone and good luck studying. I mean that

on call 12/3
My night began with some pretty low key office hours, I again issued out some toilet paper and spoke to a couple residents as they passed by. My first round was very quiet nothing was going on in the building. I did my second round at 11 and at this time I had to tell 3 rooms to close doors and one room to turn down music. When I returned back to my room I had to then go address the boys next door who were extremely loud and carrying on. While I was talking to the boys, Cynthia came to my door to get me because she had just seen girl smoking pot on their balcony in A- Tower. So we went to the room and ended up writing up 8 girls and then had to stick around to fill out the incident narrative. It was definitely a more exciting Thursday evening.

On Call 11/23
Fairly quiet for the most part, nobody came in during the office hour. Afterwards I did my bathroom checks which I didn't have chance to get to on Sunday night since I was at home. Most were clean, for the ones that weren't, I reminded them it needed to be done at least before they went home for break. First round went smoothly, then had a lockout around 11. During my second round at 11:30 there was a large group of girls standing at the bottom of A tower holding the door open and being really loud; none of them lived in the building. I told them they had to leave and shut the door, and they said they would be gone in 3 minutes. I let that go, since I figured I was going to be coming back around in 25 minutes again anyway, and if they were still there I would just make them leave at that point. Third round was quiet, and when I got back to A tower, the girls were gone but the door was propped with an umbrella so I thwarted any reentry by removing said umbrella. The rest of the evening was quiet and easy.

Last night was really quiet. I had one person come to my office hour for toilet paper, and other than that nothing. During My first round I did my bathroom checks which worked. My last two rounds were really quiet I didn't have to talk to any students. I did however have to wake up at like 2 am to tell the boys next door to keep the noise down. That pretty much sums up Sunday night.

Hey guys,
Last night was fairly quiet. Around 9:20 I had one of my residents lock herself out of her room, so that needed to be attended to.
Then around 10:30 I had my neighbor coming to me asking for pliers because she got her earring stuck and needed to pull it out...or something like that. I eventually found a pair and the earring was properly removed.
Otherwise, things seemed pretty relaxed. See ya

On Call 11/19
Fairly low-key night around here. Office hour was pretty quiet, gave out some TP and a trash bag. Then I went to my room and started some studying. Midway through, I heard screams mixed with giggles coming from female residents in A tower. I was not incredibly alarmed, so I didn't go check it out. Soon enough, however, they came and found me to report what I thought might have been going on: they found a large cockroach in their shower. Apparently they tried to kill it with hairspray before I arrived. I said that I would remove it for them, so I cupped that sucker and released it outside where it scurried off into the dark. I then continued my studying, did a round, and went to Feezy's apt for a bit. During my other rounds nothing really was going on, just had to unprop the A tower door a couple of times and close a few doors after 11.

On Call - 11/18
On call went well. During my office hours I just had to give out some toilet paper. Then I had to do one lockout. Other than that, my rounds went pretty smoothly. I did have to close one door because it was after quiet hours. I felt bad because I think I might have scared they guy when I asked him to close the door. Um.. this morning i had two girls come in to ask to see a room: B301D. For some reason, I just cannot unlock that door. They saw that it took a lot of effort to unlock it so they just left. Mehh.. Anyways, that's about it.

Not incredibly much happened last night. I didn't see anybody during my office hour. Rounds were at 10:25, 11:30, and 12. During my first round C200C had an air horn and was blowing it off the balcony and in the room, so I told them to knock it off; they understood. It seems I arrived just as the last of the life left the air horn. Then, during my second round, I found one of the whiteboards that is normally attached to the wall in the lobby in the C300/301 common area... I have no idea how it got there. I brought it back downstairs and left it in the office, where it still sits. I didn't see a single person during the 3rd round. Aside from the air horn, everything was really quiet. That's all for last night, let's hope tonight goes just as smoothly if not more.

On call 10/8
So last night was interesting...
Around 10:30 I get a knock at my door from B200A. She informed me of her overflowing toilet and I told her I'd be right down. As I walked down the stairs, Spiz was going to rescue the girls. He shut off the water to the toilet...yes...the residents let the water run and the room/suite flooded. Spiz and I grabbed crappy mops and decided that the girls would need the mop and bucket from Burnside the complete the job. Once giving the girls that mops, Spiz taught them how to shut the water off and I proceeded to the office to enter the flood into Get It.
However, while inside Burnside I recieved a call from the lovely MDollaz, and she exclaimed that her room reeked of maryjane. I laughed, accused her of smoking in her room, and told her that I'd be over after the flood was taken care of. I soon arrived at her door and entered a room which smelt similar to that of a "cafe" in Amsterdam. Logically, we both assumed the smoke was coming from the balcony below. Molly knocked on the door of C300C. Basically, the roommate tried to cover for his blazed friend yet could not cover for long as his stories began to contradict themselves. One of the most memorable lines from the roommate was the following...
Molly: Well is your roommate here?
Dumb ass: Um, I don't know...
(Now, how is that even possible or logical. This is not a difficult or trick question. Either you are currently alone in your room, or you are sharing the room with your roommate...this was the first sign that we had a write up on our hands)
Molly proceeded with the write up and narrative and the stoned resident returned to their room.
Rounds afterwards were normal. I had to ask a girl in Ctower to close her door and she was cool with dat...yes, dat.
Hope errbody enjoyed the weekend.
Love,
Bchains

So Saturday night was really quiet. I spoke to a couple of residents as they passed through the lounge during my office hour. I did rounds at 9:30, 11, and 12 and during this time I had no problems or any interaction with residents. It was actually kinda strange just how quiet the building was. I ended up going to bed around 1. I got a knock at my door at about 2:10, a resident from B-Tower was locked out. I went and let her back in and then returned back to bed. Overall it was a very very very quiet Saturday night.

Just a Note
Hey guys, so tonight, there was some conflict that went on between room A300B and A300C. It was a guy from A300B and a girl in A300C. Initially I just heard a loud bang from a door. I thought it was just an accident but then there were 3 or 4 other loud bangs. I ran upstairs to see what happened. Both people were in their rooms just screaming about nonsense. I asked them if everything was okay. The girl's roommate said that he always bothers her or something along those lines.. It was odd. I announced myself to everyone in that hallway and told them to calm down and well they did. Then I went downstairs, about 10 minutes later, more banging starting up. I ran upstairs to again and heard them arguing. I confronted them both and told them both to come outside. The guy was Hameed (i think that's how you spell his name) and not sure what the girl's name is. I told them both to calm down and go to bed. The rest of the night was quiet. I just thought everyone should know there's some tension between the two rooms.

Hey,
To my surprise last night was a wash. Rounds at 9:15, 11 and 1230 proved to be quiet. I assumed most people went out to some random party to do what they do. On my 11 o'clock round I just had to ask A301D to close their door, otherwise I felt like the only person in the building besides Spiz. While I was asleep, I heard mad drunk people coming back but none of which seemed to enter Aldrich... Hope errbody enjoyed their Halloween.

On Call 10/30
So last night surprisingly was a very dull on call. During my office hour I worked on my bulletin board and warning forms from the fire inspection that happened. I did my first round at about 9:30ish and the building was all good, I didn't have to speak to anyone. When I got back to my room I was greeted by literally 12 residents who came to show me their costumes. Lets just say they were very interesting we had the planters peanut man, chance from chance of love, a pilot, 2 Indians, a monk, Hannah Montana, a soldier, and the best of the night John Kate without their 8. Once they left I went back to doing some homework. About a half hour later I heard some weird commotion going on outside my door so I opened it up to check out what was going on. It was two boys who are B&C tower residents just laughing over a costume they just saw. I got to talking to them and they were trying to convince me that I should just abandon my job as RA and go out clubbing with them in Providence. One of the boys said and I quote "come on you should come you don't actually get that many phone calls anyway do you?" Yes, he thought that being on call meant that I take phone calls all night. After I laughed for about 5 minutes they took off to go tear up the dance floor in Providence. I did my second round at 11 and by this time the building was virtually silent. I only had to tell one room to close their door. On my way through A tower I stopped by B-Chainz room to bug him. We talked and mainly laughed at my stupidity for a good while and by the time I left it was time for my last round at 12. I took another walk through the building and then went back to my room. This morning I woke up a little later than usual so I had the on- call phone in my room when it rang at about 10:30. At this time I had literally just walked into my room from taking a shower. When I picked the phone up it was a girl calling who was locked out of her room in Burnside. She told me that she had knocked on every RA's door over there and no one was there to help her. Before she hung up she told me that she would be in the lobby of Aldrich waiting for me, and that I couldn't miss her because she would be the girl dressed in only underwear. After throwing some clothes on I got down to our lobby to greet her and yup she was practically naked standing in her lingerie. She assured me that she was humiliated that she was basically naked because their were so many parents walking on campus and through the buildiings. She also told me that it was really her costume and it wasn't as bad last night because she had had on fishnets until they got torn up and removed them at the club. I took her over to Burnside and let her back into her room on the 4th floor of C-tower. Outside of her room in the hall was trash so before I would let her in I made her pick it up because she confessed it was hers. I then told her that trash wasn't tolerated in the hallway. In the end she was very grateful for me letting her in and not judging her poor choice of clothing.
So that wraps up Friday, hopefully Saturday goes just as smoothly for everyone!
and sorry for the length of the blog I'm just trying to keep up with b-chainz lengthy tales!

On Call 10/29
So last night was interesting...
During my office hour I had a resident from C-Tower ask if she could have "mad medical tape" Initially confused by her request, I asked her what she needed it for. She explained that she recently had an operation, and non-verbally showed me the location of this said operation by placing her hands on her upper abdomen. I thought I had seen a med-kit in the office before but apparently it has since been lost or exited the building. I had the resident return to her room as I journeyed over to Burnside to see if they had the appropriate medical supplies. To the dismay to Shelly and I, Burnside was lacking the necessary provisions. Upon returning to Aldrich, I went back to residents room and explained the current situation, offering the idea of venturing to CVS to pick something up. She was relentless in having me supply her with some sort of adhesive material so I ended up giving her some random tape I found in my room...she has yet to return it...
After that escapade, I did a round and things were fairly quiet. I got back to my rooms and hit the books. Studied for a couple hours and then did another round at 11. When I walked over to C Tower, one of Molly's residents was knocking on her door. I initially assumed she was specifically looking for Molly and continued on my merry way, yet once I turned my back, the resident posed the following question, "Umm, are you the RA On Call?" I kindly responded, "Why yes, I am." She explained how residents below her were playing music loudly and were on the roof. When she said "roof" I envisioned kids pounding brews atop the building. Sadly, this was not the case. The roof she was referring to was the overhang between B and C tower facing Burnside.
I went down one flight and was stunned by the sound of loud "ethnic" music. C201E was getting ready to bed and had her Ipod on full blast. I asked her to turn it down because it was past quiet hours. She complied yet explained that she had her music loud because the B Tower residents had their music loud. Confused by her logic, I re informed her that it was past quiet hours and that she couldn't be doing that.
I then ventured over to B201D, where after 3 knocks, I was greeted by John Fernades . Upon opening the door, I asked him to turn down his dance party music and laughed inside my head as it appeared as if he was the sole patron of the room rocking out to some crappy techno. I then explained how I had recieved word of people out on the roof. The following conversation ensued...
Bchains: "Are there people out on your roof?"
John: "Yes"
Bchains: "Can you ask them to come inside?"
John: "Yes"
Bchains: "Can you do that while I'm standing here?"
John: "Yes...guys come inside."
Roof Goer #1: "What happened, is the RA here?"
John "Yea man just come inside."
(strobe light thrown into roof through window. dance party over, curtains close)
I explained to the trio of brilliance that they are forbidden to go on the roof and that if they do it again they will be written up. John apologized and seemed to understand the message. We shook hands twice within 10 seconds, not sure why, and I continued on my way.
I did another round around midnight and things seemed quiet as most people seemed to be asleep or out killing brain cells consuming copious amounts of alcohol. I had trouble falling asleep mainly because I felt as if I eventually needed to go pee (I know...TMI) I may have been slightly drifting off around 1 o'clock when I was awakened by the likes of America's Best Dance Crew. Between Aldrich and Burnside were two cars parked, music blaring and a dozen or so people straight busting moves. It was attracting a lot of attention as the music reverberated off the brick walls of the surrounding buildings. I hoped it would end after one song but it continued. I needed my sleep and something needed to be done. I called 2121 just to let them know what was taking place and it seemed as if somebody had already called it in. After a moment on hold, the officer said they'd send somebody when they had a free officer. I thanked him and hung up. As I hung up, the dancers returned to their vehicles and departed the scene. So my call to the cops was useless but I felt bad ass standing in my balcony window reporting the disturbance.
I got back in bed and got a few hours of lackluster sleep. I have an exam tonight which is going to suck large male testicles. Thanks for reading this blog, most likely laughing, and hopefully you picked up a vocab word or two.
Until next time I feel like writing a short essay,

10/29 - Part 2
At 3 am there was a lot of screaming in the stairwell right outside of my room, so I scrambled to get dressed and see what the heck was going on. There was one A tower resident, one B tower resident, and a few other girls (everyone in Halloween costumes) who were with them that did not live in the building. I asked the A tower resident to calm down and stop screaming and tell me what was going on, and she sort of did, but then started yelling again. I told them all to go down to the office so I could figure out what was going on, and I would meet them there so that I could run back to my room to get my phone. By the time that I got down to the office everybody was outside in a larger group of 10-12 people yelling. I told the people involved to be quiet and for some to come inside to let me know what was going on and to try to calm them down. Apparently the A tower resident had been hit by another girl while she was in the building and was very upset about it. They ended up deciding to go to Eddy for the night. As everyone was leaving the office 3 police officers arrived in the lobby and asked what was going on and if she wanted to press charges. I don't know who called the police, but she decided not to press charges. I explained to the police what I knew, and they left. The girls went and got their stuff from their rooms for the night, and then (I assume) made their way to Eddy.

On Call 10/28
Last night's on call went well. It was pretty quiet when I went around for my first round. My second round was pretty fun since I went to visit Ben and Molly. I asked a few residents to close their doors, but other than that, there was nothing much going on. On my last round, it was pretty quiet again. There were a few people downstairs in the A tower doorway that were talking. I asked them if they would like to use the study lounge since it was more quiet, but they said that they were finished talking so I just went back upstairs. The rest of the night was quiet as well, no lockouts.

On Call 10/28
Really quiet night, only saw a few people around. Office was quiet, somebody stopped in for some TP. After the staff meeting got out, it was already 10:45 so I just waited until 11 to start my rounds. Did rounds at 11, 11:30, and 12. There were a couple lockouts here and there but aside from that it was pretty quiet and not much was going on.

On Call 10/25
Not much to report from last night. Throughout the office hour a few people came and got toilet paper and cleaning supplies for the bathrooms. I did my bathroom checks after I got out of the office and also handed out notices about keeping the doors in the building shut. Rounds were at 10, 11:15, and 12. During my second round a guest of one of the residents asked me for a bandaid since she cut her finger. I had some in my room so I gave her a few. Pretty quiet night overall.

On Call - 10/24
So my on call was pretty interesting last night. During my office hours I had to help one resident who was locked out. It was her third time so she paid a dollar and was going to contact Marcin for a meeting. Other than that, a few people did come in for toilet paper. Nothing really happened during my rounds. It was pretty quiet and went smoothly. However, at around 12am, two residents came knocking at my door. Apparently their ceiling was leaking. I went to their room to find that they were 3rd floor residents. Hmm.. well there was a little leak near the left corner of the room where the ceiling kind of indents upward. I went upstairs to Ben's room to check if his room was leaking as well, but it wasn't. (they lived right under Ben's room) So I called Marcin and told him about the leak and he said he would call it in. I told the two girls to get a bucket and maybe a towel to catch the water for now and told them to move their mattress away for the night. Other then that, the rest of the night went well.

On Call 10/23
So on call last night went pretty smoothly. Nothing big happened. I did have to close a few doors because it was after quiet hours. They were all very compliant though. There was this one room that was blasting their music, well not so much their music. It was actually their bass. Since they lived right above my dorm, my whole room was shaking, but I asked them nicely to lower the volume and they did. Overall, it was a pretty smooth night.

On Call 10/22
Not much to report from last night... another mystery trash bag in the A300 stairwell and C200 common area, some noisy rooms after quiet hours and some open doors. Had to ask someone to close one of the outside doors because they were standing holding it open. Aside from that, rounds weren't too bad, just the usual stuff.

Just So You Know...
Hey guys! Just to let everyone know, there was a report about bed bugs possibly being in room A301A. However, they have not been verified yet. Sticky paper was given to the resident, so if she does find any bed bugs, she will report it to one of us. Just keep an eye out for it. ^_^ thank you!

On Call 10/21
Last night went well. During my office hour I wrote up the notices for my residents about keeping the doors shut and locked, I also had a B-tower resident come visit and then use the kitchen. Towards the end of my office hour Ben notified me that someone had vomited in the entrance way at the base of B tower. I went to go assess the situation and yup...real gross. Turns out about 10 minutes after its discovery when I was in the process of figuring out what to do about it, the same resident who I had let into the kitchen came back to let me know it was her mess. The good news is she in actuality did not get sick instead she had dropped her bean surprise of meal on the ground when she was walking back to her room. Needless to say I was still gagging when I looked at the sight of it. I then assisted her in getting cleaning supplies and cleaning up the mess.
By the time we finished and I closed up the office it was about 9:30. I proceeded to do my first round at 9:45. During this time I addressed some trash in the hall way and then went back to my room to write two yes two papers that were due the next morning. I did my next round at 11:15 ish and had the standard couple door closings for quiet hours. On my way past the lounge to go back to my room I ran into two residents who proceeded to tell me that I was so "hood" and that I had a "certain swagger." I thought this was pretty comical, I stopped and talked to them about what they were going to be for Halloween and about some other random topics and then went back to my room. I finished up my rounds at 12 and then went to bed so I could get up bright and early at 5 to finishing writing my incomplete papers.

Sorry for the delay but my on call was pretty quiet, nothing really went on. However, I did have to ask a few people to close their doors because it was after quiet hours. They complied and did so accordingly. Other than that, nothing was out of the ordinary.

On Call 10/19
Pretty normal night overall. The evening started out with a bowl of Marcin's fantastic chili. It was delicious. Office was quiet until about 8:55 where I had a lockout, then hung out after that. Rounds were at 9:50, 11:20, and 12:00. Some of just the usual stuff (asking rooms to be quiet, shutting some doors, etc.) went on throughout. The building was a bit louder than usual, I had to ask 7 or 8 rooms to quiet down. Also, through my rounds, I came across a room playing water pong, which was an interesting occurrence. The door was wide open when I walked by, so I checked it out. There were no signs of any alcohol being in the room. Didn't really see anybody around, but Ben's door was "semi-open" so I stopped in a chatted briefly with him at one point. Went to sleep around 1.

On Call - 10/17/2009
Sorry for the late posting everyone, but my on-call was pretty quiet last night. I did not really talk to anyone the whole night. It was pretty peaceful. I thought it would be much louder but it was extremely quiet. Most of the residents probably left for the weekend. Um.. I did have a few lock outs though. But there were more lock outs in the morning than anytime during the night. Other than that, everything went pretty smoothly.

On Call 10/16
Friday nights office hours started out with me approaching the office at like 5 of 8. As I got close to the office I heard the phone ringing so I ran into the office. It was a resident from A tower calling to tell me she had been locked out of her room. I had her meet me in the office and once I logged the lock out I went up to her room to let her in. Other than that office hour was pretty quiet. I was not feeling well at all and think I caught a stomach bug when I was teaching in the morning, so it seemed like Friday night was a lot longer than it was. I did rounds at 9:40, 11, and 12. The building was really quiet during my 9 and 11 rounds. I spoke to a B tower room to lower their music during my 11 oclock round and also had to tell a c tower resident to close their door. I had residents from my tower come to my door at about 11:30 to tell me about a special dinner they had made that night and had with 7 other C tower residents. We spoke for about 20 minutes and then they left for the night. I did my last round at 12 and the building was very quiet. I ended up going to be around 1 which was a relief because I was feeling pretty sick. I was glad our residents handled themselves like adults that night because I know a lot of people were out and about for homecoming celebrations.

On call 10/15/09
Last night went well nothing too crazy to blog about. I spent my office hour half in the office and half watching Ryans program. During my first round I spoke to an A tower resident and asked them to please put their umbrellas away before they went to bed because they were in the hall. I also spoke to a resident in C-tower who I came across kicking and banging on another residents door for them to open up. It was her friend and they locked her out of the room so I reminded her that she couldn't do that. During my 11 oclock round I had to ask one room in B tower and one room in A tower to close doors. Also during this round I had to ask a resident in C tower to quiet down. When I got back to my room I had a lock out at about 11:30ish for a resident in A tower. During my 12 oclock round the building seemed to be under control. I had to ask another room in C tower at this time to be quiet. The night went pretty smooth and I got to bed around 12:45 ish.

On Call 10/14
Good Morning ^_^
So my on call last night ran pretty smoothly. During my office hour I signed out three of the remaining space heaters in the office. I made my first round around 10. Nothing in particular really happened and was pretty quiet. Around 11, Marcin texted me to check on room B200B since there was some loud banging occurring above his room. I went upstairs to check and they said they were putting their bed together. I lectured them on how they should have done it earlier in the day since it was, in fact, late and after quiet hours. But they were on their last leg so I told them to quickly finish. Afterward, I completed my second round. I did almost trip over a bad of trash outside room A300B. I knocked on their door and told them to take it out. They told me they would in the m0rning. At 12:15 I made my last round. It was generally quiet; however, I did have to ask a few residents to be quiet because they were holding pretty loud conversations in their room. Then I proceeded back to my room for the night, but at 12:57 I had a lockout so I went back and unlocked her room. The rest of the night was pretty quiet and my office hour right now is quiet as well. Well, I just checked someone into room C201B. The key was not in the right envelope, but good thing I found it. (It was in the C201C envelope) But other than that everything went smoothly.

On Call 10/13
Hello everyone, last night was pretty quiet and normal. Molly hung out with me through my office hour and helped me out with a lockout during that time. After my office hour was done, I went to my room and came back down a little later to get the space heaters out of MFeezy's area with Molly and Feez himself. The rounds were quiet for the most part, didn't see anyone during my first or third rounds or have to tell anyone anything. During my second round I found one of the C Tower residents who had moved a couple rooms down and he turned his old key back into me and signed his new RCR. I also saw one of my residents walking through the building in tears, I asked her if she was alright a few times and she said yes and I let her know I was around if she needed anything. Not sure what was going on there. Otherwise, a pretty quiet and normal night.

On Call 10/12
Last night was a normal night. Office hour consisted on reading and listening to an assortment of poorly sung songs. Rounds were quiet, didn't have to ask anybody to shut doors or what not. It was nice to be able to get to bed and sleep all the way till my alarm. I had the vibe prior to bed that somebody would come knocking at 3AM.
Enjoy the week my friends

It was overall a pretty quiet night, during the office hour there was a request for TP and a couple space heaters. Throughout my rounds it was just the usual - had to knock on a few doors for noise after quiet hours, had to close a couple doors, removed a bottle cap from the A Tower door, and had to tell a couple rooms to keep their trash inside their room until they took it out.

On Call - 10/10/09
Hello everyone ^_^ Well, overall my on call night went pretty smoothly. On my first round at 10:05, it was pretty quiet. The only thing that I came across that was a little unsightly was this big bag of garbage outside A300B. It smelled pretty bad and it only got worse when I came back around at 11. I'm sure they'll probably throw it out in the morning. I'll check again tomorrow morning to make sure it's gone. Other than that, the rest of the building was pretty quiet. Mm.. before my last round, I was watching LSU vs. Florida.. LSU lost, which was kinda sad.. But anyways, my last round was quiet as well. I'm pretty sure everyone was tired and just wanted to hit the hay. That goes for me as well.. so goodnight and sweet dreams ^_^
on call 10/9
So last night started out pretty slow I watched a movie during my office hour. During this time I had 5 students request space heaters. Other than that nothing.
My rounds began very low key. I had to ask one student during my 11 o'clock round to close the door. Shortly after I finished that round I got a call from ryan who was coming in the building and found that someone set the squeaker on the fire alarm off.:e didn't know how to turn it off so he asked for me to come help. As I got there he had figured it out. We then preceded to go to the lounge where we got caught up in talking. Good thing we were standing there because 5 residents came through the front door looking for me. They had locked themselves out of their room when they chased two individuals out of their bathroom who they claimed were having sex. The girls said they had never seen the individuals and they went running when they saw them. I tried to calm the girls and then let them know that if they saw them again to come get me instead of handling it themselves. They appreciated my assistance and I went back to the office to return the key. Ryan was still hanging in the lounge so I spoke with him again. About ten minutes later 4 cops came in the door into the lounge. They told me that an incident had been reported sand asked me if I saw anything.I had no information but did tell them about the bathroom sex incident in case the individuals involved were related. After talking to the cops they had me call an RA in merrow and have her come meet the cops in front of aldrich. I didn't know why they needed her but I called her. When - met the cop outside I let him know I got her and she would be right over. At that time Marcin approached me outside and I filled him in. After Marcin, Ryan, and I waited until the cops left. When they left they never updated us so hopefully they found who they were looking for.
After that I went to bed and that ended another fun friday night on call!

On Call 10/8
Last night was a fairly busy night. During my office hour, there were people hanging out in the lounge playing a game. One of my residents asked if he could play pool, and I also got him the space heater that he had requested. One girl also came into the office to ask for the number for campus security to report that her rear license plate on her car had gotten ripped off. After this, I went to hang out in my room for a while.
At 9:55 I did my first round, where I had to ask a room to keep their trash inside the room until they took it out. Then I saw Molly working on a sweet portrait of Jay Z on her door. The chalk art in this building is pretty impressive, I must say. I saw Ben and told him to go look at Molly's door. He was impressed as well. My second round was at 11:10, where I had to stop and tell 5 or 6 rooms to be quiet. Molly's artwork looked awesome. At 12:10 I started my third round, and had to stop at a room with bad things obviously going on. Cynthia helped me out, and we issued 2 alcohol citations and an incident report. While some of the paperwork was being done there was a group of people arguing very loudly outside on the steps behind C Tower, which we had to also address and make sure that they calmed down. I wrote up the incident report for the prior event, then got to bed around 2:30.

My office hours were pretty low key, I had 5 residents from A tower stop by to say hello but other than that it was quiet.
The building was really quiet. I only had to speak to a resident during my 11 oclock round to tell them to close their door. I also noticed that the lights in the hall way of B 400 were turned off again, which is the case very often when I do my rounds. The residents in this hall who admittedly turn the lights off were told that they cannot do that recently by Ryan. So I knocked on their doors to remind them that the lights cannot be switched off. Hopefully this does not need to be addressed again in the future with them. Other than that my night was low key.

On Call 10/6
Hey gangstas,
Last night was just dandy. Office hour was cute as the staff was present and listening to music and such. Then went to the staff meeting which was a staff meeting, still not the biggest fan of 9:30. I did a round prior to the meeting and things were quiet. I did another round after the meeting and just before bed and I didnt have to make and requests to residents. It was a fabulous night.

On Call 10/5
Well, for the most part it was a pretty normal night besides a couple of things. Office hour was quiet. Around 8:15 somebody came and got toilet paper. Around 8:45 though, a group of guys walked by and spit on the RA office window. I tried to go after them and get their attention but I couldn't figure out which way they had gone once they got through the door towards B or A tower. I'm not sure who they were. So, I had to clean it up. GROSS. Wiped it off and hit it with some Windex, then thoroughly sanitized my hands. This did not put me in a good mood.
First round was at 9:55, everything was quiet and there was some garbage in A tower that I had to try to figure out, but nobody was around to answer any questions.
At 11:15 I did the second round, told a few rooms to quiet down, and warned one room that was operating a hair straightener that they needed to be careful with it since it would set off the fire alarm.
Round 3 was at 12:20 and I just had to ask a few rooms to be quiet. At 12:35 the fire alarm went off, apparently just because it wanted to. Most of the residents were not happy about this. Went to bed about 1.

On Call 10/4
I wish I could sit down and write an elaborate plot to last night, using vivid words that put you in the appropriate state of mind to some extraordinary event that took place, yet last night was normal. I studied during the office hour and recieved a visit from MFeez and MDollaz. Rounds were quiet for the most part, had to close C401 door around 11:20. I saw Spiz earlier in the evening and we exchanged remarks on how much studying we had during the weekend, which made me feel better about everything. thanks homie
see y'all around (sorry i'll never say y'all again)

On Call 10/3
So last night was very interesting. Before my on call even began I had about 5 students come to my door and complain that they did not have access to the building. I did tell the students that I would look into it but if it continued to go to the access office on Monday to have the cards checked. It was not until I went down to the office when I received a phone call from Shelly, that I found out that the access on the campus was down. All the student were therefore locked out of the buildings. With this being said we had to put a sign up and advise the students to call the on call RA ( which = Me) to come let them in the building. Needless to say I should have had some serious caffeine before the night began. Between the time of 8-9:30 I probably spoke to and let in over 20 students. During the 9 o'clock hour Charles Hall called the office phone to let me know that the access would be back on at 10 o'clock. This was great news. Then 10 came and we still had no access. I did checks on the doors when students were coming to the door during that hour and throughout we still had not access. This continued on through the 11 o'clock hour. At some point during the 12 o'clock hour the access came back. I decided to just get comfortable on the couch in the lounge between 8-12:30 because the idea of running up and down from the 4th floor was brutal. Although this was a hassle of a situation, it did provide for a lot of interaction with residents.
On top of this I did also do rounds. I did rounds at 9:15, 11:00, and 12:00. The building was very quiet which I was prepared for because I had been watching them all leave the building for the past hours. During my 11 o'clock round I had to ask one room in C-Tower to lower their noise, and I also looked into some trash in the hall. Other than that the towers were very well behaved for a Saturday night.
What a bizarre night, thank god that was a one night only issue!

On Call 10/2
First off, yesterday I think was the most lockouts in one day I've ever had. I think it might have been 4? That is besides the point. Anyway, not much happened in the office hour. Someone stopped in to ask about the URI Refund Card, and I told him to go to Green Hall to Enrollment Services because I didn't know all too much about it (even though I have one myself... I should probably learn).
On my 10 PM round, there was garbage in the hallway in C200 area. I knocked on a few doors, only one person was around and I asked him if he knew whose it was, but he didn't so I continued on. When I had gotten up to A300, the suite smelled strongly of marijuana. I called Molly to see if she was in the building, and she was. I continued on my rounds until I got to her door and let her know what was up. We both went down to the area and she confirmed the odor. We ended up figuring out which room it was coming from, A300A, and knocked on the door and confronted the residents about it. They said that they had just smoked outside in one of their cars and it was probably the smell on them. There was nothing else that led us to assume that they actually were smoking in their room, so we let them know that it wasn't a good thing to be so obvious about and we left. Still feeling unsure if we had handled the situation correctly, we went down towards the office to possibly call Marcin and ask. However, when we entered the lobby, Kevin Martins was standing there. He was meeting somebody to give them something, so we took the opportunity to ask him about the situation and he told us we did about all we could do, and he gave us a few pointers. After this, Molly and I parted ways.
At 11:15 the phone rang once and then stopped ringing before I could answer it, so I went down to the office to see if anything was going on. In the stairwell a group of girls found me and told me they were locked out. I went and unlocked their room A201A. This was their 3rd lockout, and they have not paid yet. It is marked in the log. Since I was up, I did my second round at 11:20. I realized that the bedspring in the A4oo common area was still there, which was weird because I had put it into Get.It to be removed and it said it was completed. I will resubmit that request. All else was quiet.
12:20 was the third round, everything was quiet and there were a few people in the lounge watching TV. I checked with them to make sure everything was all good and then I went up to bed.

On Call 10/1
Hey guys, last night was def low key. My office hour went by pretty quickly, I worked on a project with a classmate during that time. Ryan stopped by to see if he could grab a space heater so that he didn't freeze to death. He had a test today so he wanted to make sure he would be around to get to it :) B- Chainz also poked his head in on his way by the office. Moving on from that the building was very quiet and I only had to tell one room in A tower to keep the noise down.
Not bad for a Thursday! Lets hope Saturday is just as pleasant!

On Call - 9/30/2009
Happy October! So my rounds last night were pretty interesting. On my first round I just basically walked the building. There wasn't much going on until I reached the A300 hallway. As soon as I opened the door, I just got a big whiff of this really strong smell that might have been alcohol. Since the smell was all around the hallway, it was difficult to tell where it was coming from. I went over and asked Molly to come and smell around as well. We went to discuss the matter while Ben was also called down to smell. However, Ben did not smell anything. I figured that I would just keep my nose on it and see if the smell is still there on my next round.
On my next round I scurried around the hallway but basically found nothing wrong. When I reached the A300 hallway again, the smell was gone.. it faded into this creamy popcorn smell.. o_0 Other than that, nothing was out of the ordinary.
On my last round, I walked around the building and asked a few residents to close their doors, but that was basically it.

On Call 9/29
Hello everyone, last night was pretty low-key. I had one lockout during my office hour in A tower. Molly hung out with me in the office which was nice. After the office hours, I had another lockout around 9:10. First round was at 10:04, in which all was quiet and everything was fine. Molly's door was open when I reached her area so I stopped in and talked to her again for a few minutes. On my second round at 11:15 I just had to ask a few residents to shut their doors. Round #3 was at 12:06 and everything was peaceful.

On Call 9/28
Last night was fairly uneventful. I gave some residence some TP during my office hour. I did my laundry which was nice. Rounds were routine. Around 11:30 I had to ask a few residents in C and one in A tower to close their doors. Otherwise it was a normal night.

on Call 9/27
My office hour was very quiet I had one student come get keyed back into their room. Other than that I got some work done and spoke to B-chainz briefly when he walked by. I did my first round at about 9:30 and proceeded to do my bathroom checks while I was walking the floors. I spoke to my residents in room C401A about how their weekend was before returning back to my room.
I did my second round at 11 and at this point the building was very quiet. I had to ask a room in A tower to put their umbrellas inside their room. When going through the C201 I ran into a resident and spoke to her about a photography class that she takes like mine. We spoke for about 5 minutes and I then returned back to my room after completing my rounds.
My third round was at 12. I only had to ask one room in B tower at this point to be quiet becuase the girls inside were being very loud. Other than that I returened to my room without any other interactions. It was another low key night in Aldrich!
On Call 9/26
It pretty sure I was among the 3 or 4 people alive in the building. Things were incredibly quiet on all of my rounds, it was actually quite lonely. Its up there with one of the quietest weekend nights I've seen

On call 9/23/09
So a couple days delayed but I am going to recap my on call from wed. It was a very quiet on call that night. During my office hours I had one resident come and ask for trash bags. I made my rounds at 9:30, 11, and 12. The building was very quiet and I did not see any residents around the building at all. The only interaction I had was during my 11 o'clock rounds. I had to ask Room A400A and A400B to be quiet and to close their door. They were really nice and had explained it was one of the girls birthdays and they had just surprised her when she walked in the room. Other than this my next round went smooth and I went to bed.
Hopefully tonight is just as smooth!

On Call 9/25
The evening began with an empty office hour; I saw just a few people walk by the office. Apparently it was a big laundry night since a few different people were doing laundry. Nobody had any concerns while I was in the office. I went to my room and began to fold the laundry that I had done earlier in the day. Around 9:15, a resident showed up at my door in just a towel and had locked himself out of his room in A Tower, so I went and got the key to let him back in. After, I continued folding my laundry.
At 10:10 I did my first round. The only thing that I needed to do on Round #1 was remove a water bottle cap and a small rock from the A Tower door on the inside so that they couldn't be used as props. I did my second round at 11:24, where everything was again quiet. I saw Ben in the stairwell who looked like he was returning for the evening. We exchanged greetings and continued on our ways. The third round took place at 12:05. I had to just tell a couple of rooms to lower their voices. One room was getting a bit too into their game of HALO, so I had to just ask them to keep it down. They apologized quieted down.
For the most part, it was all quiet on the Aldrich front.

On Call - 09/23/2009
Well now wasn't tonight just simply wonderful and entertaining? ^_^
So let's start from the beginning..
At 10:46 I made my first round. Overall it was pretty quiet; however, I did find a pair of shoes outside of a dorm room. I debated whether or not I should have knocked on the door to tell them to bring the shoes inside, but decided not to. I wasn't sure if it was a "sign" or not.
At 11:40 I made my second round. Again, it was pretty quiet. The shoes were gone this time, but then I found a guy sitting in the hallway on the 4th floor talking on the phone. I asked him if he was okay and he say yes and asked if I was an RA. I said yes and finished walking through the building.
At a little past 12, I went around on my last round. Overall it seemed pretty normal, but as soon as I got back to my room, the fire alarm rang. Everyone in the building came outside. Many of them were confused and asked if it was a drill. I met up with the rest of the crew (except Ben) and confirmed that this was not a drill. Everyone was wondering where Ben was and whether or not he came out. I decided to circle around to the front of the building to see if there were any residents there. There were none; however, I did see two fire trucks driving towards us and waited for their arrival. I spoke to one of the fire fighters and told them that I was an RA in the building. They asked me if I knew what had happened but I did not. So then we all waited outside. Eventually the fire fighters came out and told us there was burnt food in A400. I think it was the result of a microwave incident. Well they brought in a fan and fanned out the smoke. Then everyone went back inside and slept happily ever after.
The End ^_^

On Call Monday 9-21-09
Tonight was a little bit of a hectic start. I had a movie night program scheduled for 8 with a movie and some popcorn, so I was running around to get it all set up before 8. When 8 rolled around about 5 residents came down to watch the movie. They really enjoyed the movie and especially liked the popcorn. Following the movie I had to clean the popcorn machine which was not enjoyable at all. It has so many corners and pieces to clean that I was becoming slightly annoyed :)
After that was all set I did my first round at 10. I had to ask a room in A tower to lower her music because you could hear it in the next tower over. When I got to the 4th floor of A-Tower Bens door was open so I stopped and talked to him quick.
I did my next round around 11 and for the most part the building was really quiet. I asked one room to close their door in C tower. When I was finishing this round I checked A100. I was stopping by to ask the residents to close their doors and then spoke to them about the art work on them. Two boys had very creative and extremely artistic doors but they were inappropriate in content so I had to ask them to change it. They were very respectful and funny and told me that they would do a new theme by tomorrow. I checked the exterior doors and then went back to my room.
I did my last round at 12 and at this point the building was very quiet. I did not see any residents and did not have to address any issues.

Tonights on call was very low key. My office hour went by quick. Cynthia stopped by to grab papers for Fire Inspection and we talked briefly. After that I did my rounds at 10, 11, and 12.
Things went very smoothly during my 11 o'clock round I only had to tell two rooms to close their doors and I had to ask a resident in A tower to turn down his guitar amp. Other than that nothing really happened. When I did my 12 oclock round I didn't have any issues. I passed one of my residents on my way back to my room and spoke to her quick about how things were going. That ended the night.

On Call 9/19/2009
So how's everyone's weekend going? So today it seems like 3/4 of the building's residents were missing. Probably went home =P. Well let's see.. honestly, tonight, it was extremely quiet. It felt like there were no people in the building o_0. So I made my first round at around 9. It was pretty quiet. I saw a few residents coming back and greeted them. I made my second round at around 10:30. Again, it was quiet. Lastly, I made my third round at around 11:45. The only thing I had to do was ask someone to close their door. But I think he already knew that he had to since he saw me coming around. Other than that, everything was pretty peaceful ^_^
9/18 On Call
So last night was pretty good. Office hour was quiet. I saw some residents heading out for the night. I introduced myself to C100B and let her know that if she couldn't get in the building, to call the office phone and I'd let her in.
I went on my first round and things seemed quiet, people were getting ready to go out and get wasted, yet I didn't see or hear any signs of drinking in the dorm. Around 10:30 I did a second round and all was quiet. I had to close the A-tower door.
Around 11:30 I did another round, I had to ask C300A to close his door. When I went downstairs by the office, I heard an alarm going off. Somebody had lifted the plastic door covering the fire alarm. I had to call Marcin to verify that all I needed to do was fully close the door and the alarm would go off, and it did.
I was about to go to bed around 12:45 but things seemed to be getting loud. I couldn't really tell if it was outside or somewhere in A-tower, but upon going around the building, the noise must have been from the exterior. I saw a group of people leaving the building, and one girl remarked that she "couldn't see straight." Other than that, things were acceptable. I returned to my room and got ready for bed. Just before I got in bed there was a knock on my door. The new residents boyfriend asked if I had condoms and I hooked him up. He was appreciative and I wished him luck as he skipped off with two Lifestyles. I forgot to offer him the "We're pracitciing safe sex" door sign but its all good.
Enjoy the weekend errbody,

On Call 9/17
Hello all... here is a retelling of the 9/17 on-call.
The evening began slowly, I was in the office from 8-9 and Marcin hung out with me in the office for the hour and nothing really happened. I left and headed to my room afterwards to pass the evening by. Around 9:30 or so, one of my residents asked me if I had a printer she could use, because her's was not working correctly. I did not, but allowed her this one time to use the printer in the office to print out 3 pages of a paper.
After this, I went back to my room until 10 when I did my first round. The entire building was very quiet for the most part. I ended up seeing Molly just as I came through her tower, she had just returned for the evening. One of her residents was playing some loud music and she requested that it was turned down, and the residents complied. We chatted for a tad in the hall, then I left back to my room. I noticed that the garbage near A400 was still there in the corner, something will have to be done about that.
At 11:30 I did the second round, where the entire building was quiet, and the only thing that I found was that there was more garbage (in bags) outside of A201A/B, nobody was around. One of my residents was in the lounge watching TV and studying. 12:05 AM was my third round, everyone was quiet, just had to ask one room to lower their voices a bit. There were no other issues. At this point, around 12:45, I attempted to get ready to go to bed and THOUGHT that I might get to sleep for the night. Apparently, the night had other plans.
At around 1:30 AM, the building got very loud and I had to get up to see what was going on. As I left my room and was walking through the hall, the office phone rang and one of the RA's from Coddington informed me that there had been an altercation outside between the two buildings, and that 2 of their RA's were now in the Aldrich lobby and requested that I come downstairs to help out. I replied that I had to deal with what was going on upstairs and that I would be down as soon as I could. Walking over to A Tower, there were about 12 people in/outside of A300A with raised voices. I confronted them and asked what was going on, about 7-8 people left once they figured out who I was and didn't want to be involved. I made sure everything was OK in the room since everyone was very heated about something and arguing. I informed the remaining people in the room to be quiet; they were disturbing others.
I then went downstairs and the 2 RA's from Coddington let me know what was going on and let me know there was a 3rd RA from their building upstairs further addressing the situation in the B400 suite. We all went up to help her out, and I assume the situation was resolved. Not sure exactly of all the details; what happened in Aldrich was the tail-end of the incident and I just helped manage the ending. The Coddington staff thanked me for my assistance and went back to their building.
As I returned to my room at 1:45 AM, I got back into bed only for the office phone to ring again at 1:50. A girl told me she was locked out so I came down and unlocked her room C200C.
At 2:30 AM the building got very loud again, so I had to go back to the same room as earlier, A300A, and tell them to be quiet because they were disturbing me from my room in B tower, so I'm sure I wasn't the only one who could hear them. At 2:50 AM there were raised voices outside. I left my room again to go downstairs and met them as they were entering the building through the back door of B Tower, and told them to be quiet. One of the people in the group apologized and was trying to get everyone to calm down. I had to go back to A300A, where they were headed, a third time and at this point there were about 15 people inside. They hadn't quieted down from when I saw them just a minute before. I told them that there could be no more than 6 people in the room and that lots of people needed to leave. About 10 or so people left after I told them they needed to. At this point I also gave them a verbal warning about the noise, and told them that if I had to come back again that I would issue written warnings. One of the residents inside told me that he thought he might have broken his thumb, so I asked him if he needed me to call the ambulance or anything. He said no, but ice would have helped. Since I didn't have ice, I just told him to go to health services the next day and they could help him out.
I went back to my room at 3 AM and finally got to sleep around 3:15.

On Call 9/16/2009
Good morning Aldrich^^
So let's take a look at last night..
At around 9:40, I made my first round. Overall, it was pretty quiet. However, I did have to stop by a few rooms in C tower and A tower to tell them to quiet down a little. They were good about it and apologized for the noise. My next round at around 10:50, it was quiet, nothing much to say. At my third round near midnight, I had to ask a few residents to close their door because of quiet hour. They listened and closed them. Everyone was cooperative.
I did have a few lockouts. One at around 11:30 and then two in the morning. The lockouts that I had for the A300 dorms, it was quite a bit difficult to get the master key to work. It took a little bit of jiggling to get in. Other than that, everything was fine ^_^
Have a wonderful day~

On call 9/15/09
At the beginning of my on call I was in the office from 8-9. During this time it was very quiet and I only had one resident stop buy to check out the pool equipment. I did my first round at 9:00 and the building was very quiet. I stopped by a residents room who called me over as I walked by to talk to them about furniture removal and requests. I returned back to the office until the staff meeting began at 9:30.
Following the meeting I had a resident approach me outside of the office to let me know her light had broken in her room. I went to her room to see if I could help her fix it but the chain had broken off the light and I told her I would put it in to be fixed. I did another round, and had to ask one room C201B to close their door. Other than that the building was very quiet.
I did another round at midnight and had no issues until I returned back to my floor to find three of my residents running through the stair well. I followed them to their room in C400B and reminded them it was past quiet hours and they shouldn't be carrying on in the hall way like that. They respectfully apologized and told me they were surprising their friend to say happy birthday at midnight. They went into their room and didn't make anymore noise.
It was a very low key night, with nothing really going on in the building.

9/14 On Cizzall
Whats goin on. Just a brief summary of last night, to spare any readers from my previous post. Last night during my office hour, a resident came to play pool. Around 9 he tells me that there are pool balls stuck inside the table. I found the key to side door of the table, but the keys did not work, therefore the balls are still inside. I'll have to have John work his magic with that.
Otherwise, on call seemed quiet, after the Patriots win that is. Rounds were routine. Saw a few residents and eventually had to close a few doors. It was an uneventful Monday night.
Enjoy your day.
Love,
Ben

9/13 On Call
Beginning with the 8 pm office hour, nothing much was going on. A few residents came in and borrowed the pool stuff and returned it just as I was leaving, so it was timed perfectly. Around 8:45, one of my residents returned to the building and then informed me that the B-tower stairwell smelled of burnt toast. It was an extremely pungent odor. The stairwell remained in this state for most of the evening, and I could not figure out where it was coming from.
I then did my bathroom checks around 9:15, everybody had them done well so it was a good way to start off the year. Doing my first round at 10, all was well and not much was going on; everyone was busy watching the VMA's. In the middle of it, BChainz texted me and requested help with his futon. I politely responded by just showing up at his door, and I helped him out. We briefly chatted about the matters of the evening, and I departed back to my room to wait for the second round.
At approximately 11:15, a resident appeared at my door requesting help with the laundry machines. Apparently washer #3 didn't like his RAM card, so I told him to switch to another machine and it worked then. I did my second round after this around 11:15, and all I had to do was ask a few people to shut their doors.
At midnight I did the third round, which nothing much more happened. I had to ask a few more people to shut their doors. There was a girl sitting on the ground in the hallway in C tower and I asked her if everything was alright and she responded that it was, she looked like she was writing. She said she would go back to her room when she was done. There was also another girl sitting in the hallway in A tower, her roommate was asleep and she still had homework to do. I told her about the study lounge on the first floor and she appreciated the tip. I walked downstairs to finish the round, then upstairs back to my room and went to sleep around 12:30.

On Call 9/12
When my on call began I had a very quiet hour in the office. I had no resident issues and used the time to do some homework. I did my first round at 9. This was a very quick round, nothing was really going on in the building and I didn't run into any residents.
I began my second round at 9:50 and did a slow walk through the building to make sure things were still under control and that all the exterior doors were closed. I had no issues or anything happen during this round.
At 10:20 a resident from room C401A knocked on my door because they had accidentally locked their key in their room. I retrieved the master key and logged the lock out and let the resident back in.
On my next round at 11 I had to ask rooms A301A and A301C to close their doors, and then had to ask room A400C to lower music coming from their room.
I did another round at 12:10 and by this point the building was extremely quiet, it seemed many residents were out of the building. I had to approach room B400C and ask them to keep the noise down, they were playing a game and were very excited and loud.
After finishing up my rounds I went to bed, at about 2:15 in the morning I had to get up and ask residents in my hall to go into a room and to lower their voices. Four of them had just returned to the building and were standing outside C401D being loud. The instantly listened to what I said and apologized for the noise. On my way back to my room I said hello to another resident who i passed on my back to my room. The rest of the night was smooth.

The night that was...September 10th
Hey.
My on call started with watching the film, "11th Hour." Going in to the program, I was hoping for residents to have an hour break in which they could learn about something that is honestly important, our environment. I did a little research and found that 11th Hour was a solid movie that really left you in a state of shock almost. Added that it was narrated by Leo DiCaprio and it took the cake. To my dismay, only one resident showed up on her free will, while I had to gather a few of my A Tower peoples to the lounge. I was surprised that the Scooby-Doo gummies I purchased did not entice the residents. Regardless, I found the movie fairly interesting and made me really question my behavior. Given the circumstances and the fact that residents are busier than I imagined them to be, the program was acceptable.
I then completed my laundry, still upset that I was earlier blind to the fact that if you wash your newly dyed red overalls (for Stewie obviously) every other article of clothing recieves a gift of red dye upon being washed. My favorite sweatshirt ended up in this mess and is currently ruined and on the shelf for when we go paintballing. Either way, life goes on, its just some cotton.
Once I wiped away my tears, I recieved a text from Marcin informing me that there was a sign hanging from the balcony on the second floor of C-Tower. I called Marcin to confirm where the sign was and he explained it was on the street side of Aldrich but wasn't sure if it was the 2nd or 3rd floor. I proceeded to walk outside and saw a small blue light hanging from the 3rd floor of C tower. Below was a sign that read "Free Sex." Street goers were clearly impressed with the sign. I went to C300C and told the group of little boys to take down their sign and light and they willingly took it down, admiting it was immature.
After that mission, I took a round and all was fairly quiet. I was walking up the steps to the 4th floor of B tower when I hear the bumping bass of some Lil' Wayne. I followed to musical notes to A400A, where the residents were in the bathroom getting ready to go out clubbing or some nonsense. I politely asked them if they could turn down their tunes and they happily complied and apologized.
I then came back to the pad, A401C, and began writing this novel. At 11, I recieved a knock on my door from two of my residents. One girl had lost her ID and needed it to go to a party in the Ram's Den. I escorted the two ladies to the office and found the lost identification. The two were thankful and skipped off to their shindig.
My last round was fairly uneventful. I shut one persons door and saw 3 residents returning to C-Tower with a slice of greasy pizza. I then saw M-Dollaz (Molly), who was sporting a white long sleeve shirt, short green athletic shorts and her infamous pink/purple/white sneeks. We chatted about the sign and I confessed that I was writing a ridiculous blog and she wanted to check it out.
She found the blog fairly amusing and so did I.
I brushed my teeth, washed my face and went to bed. It was a good night as an RA.

Molly- On Call
I began the night with my program (rock painting) which was very successful. After I finished cleaning up I began my first round. During my first round the building was under control, lots of students had doors open and were being social within their halls. I had no issues.
Following my first round I had a bathroom lock out on the first floor of C-tower. A student accidentally locked the door when they were walking out and shut it behind them, I was unable to get the door open with the master key so I had to report it to Get.It.
Before I began my second round I had a resident lock out in B tower. Following this I began my second round, which was done at the start of quiet hours, I had to approach room C401D to keep the noise down. Also during this round I had to ask room A400B to close their door.
As I began my third round at mid-night I had to approach room C200A to ask them to keep the noise down because it was past quiet hours. Upon talking this room they informed me that they had lost power on the left side of their room. I addressed the situation and told them I would put in a work order. When I went around the corner to room C201B to ask them to close the door, they also informed me that they were out of power on the right side of the room. I added this room to my rooms to be put into get it for fixing. After leaving C201 residents from C200 sought me out to open the kitchen for them in order to use the Microwave. I stopped what I was doing and brought the girls to the kitchen to use the microwave. When I returned back to C200 to pick up where I left off on my rounds, the resident in room C200B came out of his room to let me know that he too had lost power in his entire room, and that also the Bathroom had no power. I let all the students know that I would address the situation and that someone would be around during the day on Thursday to come and fix it. I offered a flashlight to anyone that might have needed one but the students were all set and content waiting for the power until the next day. I finished my rounds with no other problems for the night.

Cynthia - On Call
Last night went pretty smoothly. First two rounds, there was not much going on. On the third round, I needed to just shut some doors since it was after quiet hours.

On-Call 9/7...
Walking through with Molly and Marcin around 9:30 doing rounds we came across a pile of trash oustide of the A400 group of rooms, had to tell the guy in A400C to turn his music down because the bass was overwhelming, and let the folks in A401A know that they couldn't have their old shower curtain lying in a heap in the hallway (they replaced it and didn't know what to do with the old one).
Round #2 started at 11:10 where Molly and I made our way through the building and encountered nothing major until C401D where 2 alcohol citations and 6 incident reports were issued. Residents were easy-going about the process. Came back to the office, filled out appropriate paperwork/narrative, and got to bed around 2 am.

So On Call Tonight
Things seem quiet as of right now. Office hour was also dead. Looking to keep a close eye on these rambunctious band children.
Peace.
